The world was like this when Europeans “discovered” the land that they were looking for.
Are the people who came to the land called “Explorer” or are they called “Invader”?

At some point, they are invaders, because they stayed, but on the other hand, they are explorers, because they found what they were looking for for their country.

Journal Entry II: Muslim People
So we skyped with my teacher’s friend who was a Muslim.
She was awesome. She told us about her background, what it felt like being a Muslim at first (she wasn’t a Muslim when she was young.), Islam the religion itself, why woman cover their head except their faces bu wearing a hijab… etc.
She told us that the first time when she became a Muslim, people stared at her. She eventually got used to people staring at her everywhere and learned to hold her head high. She talked about her religion and how covering her head is connected to it: The Muslims believed in the God just like Christian, attend the service at the Mosques, read the holy book”karan”, and women covered their head except their faces to hide their beauty like how the purls are. The part where she explained why women covered their head except their faces was the part I remember the most.
What I learned from her and her religion is that Muslim people are not all terrorists and that their religion is just like any other religion that exists in this whole wide world.

Journal Entry I
What I think about my social class? I’d say that it is going well and that it is interesting to learn how our country is interacting with other countries in the world.
What I look forward to? I look forward to learn about people that do different stuff as we do in our daily lives.
What I’m worried about? I am worried about some topic that might be a little uncomfortable for me to participate in the class, because of my background that I was born with. Some people might not care so much about it, but I do and people say some “careless” stuff about that that I care and worry. I have experienced this through when I took world history in Junior High.
What mark I want and what I plan to achieve.
I want to get into 90s or in high 80s. I plan to get this mark at the end in order to get my assignments done and write them clearly of my opinion and also to participate in the class such as ask questions when I don’t understand something and say my opinion out loud.
